Waiting for Someday

I've been waiting for a storm to come.

I've been looking for a race to run.

I just want to have a little fun

Before I fade away.

I've been working at the 9 to 5.

For what it pays it isn't worth the time.

But it beats the unemployment line,

So I can't complain.

 

I'm waiting for someday to come around.

With my head in the clouds,

And my feet down on the ground.

I'm waiting for someday to come around.

If it comes around...

 

Never mind about the crazy plans.

I have dreams like any other man.

I'm not expecting you to understand

It's just my way.

 

And if you don't like my attitude,

Then excuse me if I'm seeming rude.

I don't remember ever asking you,

That's all I have to say.

Well I ain't so hard to figure out.

And relish every day.
